HOSTED VOIP

As technology integrators, ASC is continuously looking for new and smarter technologies that will provide solutions to improve networking, security and communications.

In 2002 ASC started implementing hosted VOIP solutions from numerous providers to a select group of customers that were very interested in the technology.  Even with our early implementations, the VOIP systems were  full featured and would provide considerable cost savings in telephone carrier charges. The most prominent technical problems with the hosted systems were not necessarily “voice quality issues” but the lack of support from the providers, the inability to port local telephone numbers in many parts of the country and using 911 emergency services.

ASC has looked at many providers of hosted VOIP but they all fell short in what we considered to be the 2 most critical areas, support and national presence. Then we were introduced to Covad VOIP services and we looked very closely.
